Flooring chez John

This last Saturday, we spent the whole day chez John (at John's place) putting in laminate flooring, which turned out to be a greater task than we originally thought. Here are some photos to help you visualize the work of art!Beginning stages involved tearing out the carpet/padding/cleaning the floor. afterwards, we layed the padding which goes underneath the actual flooring.John and Robert A (dad) We composed a three-man teamPrecision cutting the pieces for the master bedroom. On the front deck, overlooking the property. This was the "FUN" part. sliding the planks into place. it took us a while to master the technique, but once we got it down, it was going well.
John using the handsaw to precision cut a piece to go into the closet.
Flooring is hard work! we had Rudy's Bar-B-Q *mmmmmmmmmm* and we were thirsty afterward. (i dreamt about Rudy's my whole mission!)

THE FINISHED PROJECT! coming to you with MPEG technology. oh yeah!

WOW!! It looks fabulous! And a might quicker to lay than staining concrete, I dare say. You men did a bang up job. It really looks great. I wish I could have been there to help!! Thanks for sharing the experience via pics.
